Banco Galicia

Product Design Manager | 2021-2026

When I joined Galicia to focus on customer experience, I sat, at the same time, across three core verticals of the Bank: Payments, Contact and Loyalty.

Delivering value to users through simple experiences, ones that lower cognitive effort and let them transact successfully, without losing sight of business goals, that's what got burned into my mind, a constant of what I was already doing elsewhere, at least at first.

But this difference was key: measuring everything to iterate on hard data. A bank needs to know what happens with every click, not just for its own growth and revenue goals, but because it also needs to be the best in terms of experience: every move turned into a data point.

At Disney, at Fox, at Nat Geo, I never had that much hard metric behind every decision. At Galicia, thankfully, I did.

Data driven decisions, to defend what users need even when design, development and business don't see eye to eye. That's what Galicia left me with.

I still remember one morning in there, sitting on a low stool, in front of a whiteboard full of columns: problem, impact, user type, context, pain point, hypothesis. Explaining to a team why a brief built without data puts everything that follows at risk. From those sessions, we'd always walk away with learnings and tools to keep improving, all of us.
